Software

The software environment used to host e/merge 2004 is available as an open source package licensed under the GNU GPL.

The e/merge 2004 package (emergecolab) is hosted on eduforge at eduforge.org/projects/emergecolab/.

The e/merge 2004 environment is built on (and includes) w-agora and the connect online learning environment developed at the University of Cape Town. emergecolab requires apache, php and postgresql.

Please be aware that emergecolab is not a plug-and-play solution for online conferencing, and to use it, you will need to customise it for your own requirements. This may require some php and postgresql experience.
